ETSI EN 302 208 - Impact of latest generation of high speed measurement equipment on Auto Sweep mode 11th MAY 2021

Dear LPRA Members,

Re: ETSI EN 302 208 - Impact of latest generation of high speed measurement equipment on Auto Sweep mode

It was been indicated that EN 302 208 V3.3.1 (see https://www.etsi.org/deliver/etsi_en/302200_302299/302208/03.03.01_60/en_302208v030301p.pdf will be published in the EU OJ soon. In parallel a new version of EN 302 208 has been started to address current and new feedback on the document.

One of the topics raised is the sweep time for spectrum measurements (i.e. clause 5.5.5 " Transmitter spectrum mask”), as the “auto” setting is no longer suitable for latest generation of high speed measurement equipment.  An EN 302 208 rapporteur meeting has been setup for June 29 2021 13:00 to discuss this. It shall be concluded on how to update the definition of the measurement settings to make it unambiguously suitable for all generations of measurement devices. Furthermore, the change should certainly ensure that test results are not impacted.

All are invited to review clause 5.5.5 and to do supporting measurements as preparation for the meeting on 29th June 2021, in order to have proposals on how to move forward.

The meeting on 29th June 2021 allows guests and LPRA members are invited to join this meeting.

If you are interested, please send a request to the Rapporteur EN 302 308
