Our core competences are system design, modeling, simulation, verification and optimization of heterogeneous embedded microelectronic systems including RF measurement and test. CISC Semiconductor provides extended experience in RFID product development and simulation tool development in general. As a major fact CISC Semiconductor employees have participated in the development of RFID reader ASICs as well as RFID tag ASICs for various passive RFID frequencies, and CISC employees have already managed the development of UHF RFID systems. Furthermore, CISC Semiconductor has comprehensive experience in the evaluation, modeling and simulation of RFID systems. CISC is represented in RFID standardization, providing the convener of ISO/IEC JTC1 SC31 WG3/SG1 responsible for conformance measurements for RFID for item management, the project editor for ISO/IEC 18000-6 amendment to incorporate the “EPC™ Radio-Frequency Identity Protocols Class-1 Generation-2 UHF RFID Protocol for Communications at 860 MHz – 960 MHz EPCglobal” and the convener of the Austrian AG31, being the national shadow committee of ISO/IEC JTC1 SC31. Furthermore, CISC is providing the vice-chairman to ETSI ERM TG34 responsbile for RFID regulatory.
