Sponsored by the Low Power Radio Association, the conference offers an excellent and timely opportunity to catch up on the latest developments in spectrum allocation for short range devices, routes to compliance with the current regulations (in particular the R & TTE Directive), and the way ahead for licence-exempt radio: could global harmonization be achieved? Expert speakers are being lined up who are in a unique position to explain these issues and offer the benefit of their advice to manufacturers, designers, and end users of low power radio technology. On the technical side, there will be an in-depth look at emerging technologies including ultra-wideband radio, innovations in antenna design, developments in RF chips, and short range radar. There will also be specific sessions covering some of the principal sectors in the SRD industry: telemetry and automatic meter reading, home automation, intelligent transport systems, medical applications, and SRDs in audio applications.
In addition to this packed programme there will be a workshop on radio design aimed at engineers working in this field. This session has always proved popular, providing the kind of detailed information that is hard to come by elsewhere. Not held since 2003, the content of this workshop will be brought bang up to date for 2008.
An exhibition will run throughout the conference at the ETSI Headquarters. Your company/organization is cordially invited to exhibit your products or services at this highly targeted event.
The LPRA has been working hard over the years to secure a fair and workable regulatory environment for its members, who operate in many different countries and many sectors of the low power radio industry. The Radio Solutions conference is where to go to find out what has been achieved and what is in the pipeline. |
