The LPRA has attended, as an observer, a number of meetings organised by the UK’s Energy Retail Association concerning Supplier Requirements for Smart Metering (SRSM).  The essence of these meetings was to discuss an open standard for radio communications which would form a HAN (Home Area Network) linking smart meters and smart appliances within the home.
